EXECUTIVE Summary

Reference is made to Agenda Item 2.2 of the Sustainable Development Committee business paper of 3 March 2015 (DA 181/2014(1) for telecommunications facility (mobile phone base station with 40m high monopole and equipment shelter) at Lot 100 DP 1035863 – 454 The Escort Way, Orange).

It is advised that Council is in receipt of a formal request from the applicant to defer consideration of this item.

The applicant has advised that they are proceeding to investigate an alternative location on the subject property for the proposed facility and would like to undertake a further visual assessment, as well as providing revised design drawings and montages for Council’s consideration.

It is anticipated that an amended proposal will be lodged with Council within a fortnight with the intent of the revised proposal being presented at the next available Sustainable Development Committee meeting.

2.10   Planning Proposal - North Orange Shopping Centre Expansion - Request for Deferral

EXECUTIVE Summary

Reference is made to Agenda Item 2.7 of the Sustainable Development Committee business paper of 3 March 2015 concerning a Planning Proposal to allow further expansion of the North Orange Shopping Centre.

It is advised that Council is in receipt of a formal request from the applicant to defer consideration of this item.

The applicant has advised that they would like to meet with the General Manager and Council’s consultant to further discuss the basis of Council staff’s recommendation.

It is anticipated that an amended Planning Proposal will be lodged with Council within a month with the intent of the revised proposal being presented at the next available Sustainable Development Committee meeting.
